You’ll then want to have another window or device open where you can access your livestream and monitor the comments as mentioned above. In order to use it effectively, I recommend a specific approach that leverages this feature strategically. Scheduling in advance can be useful as it allows people to set reminder notifications in advance. Once you’ve done this, you can then start or schedule a stream at any given time. This just requires you to log in and approve the connection To get access to LinkedIn Live via one of our preferred partners: Log in to the third-party broadcasting tool. You’ll then need to add LinkedIn to your available streaming destinations. Once you’ve got access, going live on LinkedIn is a pretty straightforward process.įirstly you’ll need to set up some broadcasting software like Streamyard. This is usually good practice anyway to maximise engagement. They also request that your streams are at least 20 minutes long. You’ll be sent a list of conditions/rules upon being approved for early access. LinkedIn currently has rules around how many times a week/day you can stream. My suggestion would be to keep LinkedIn open on your phone or on another device watching your own livestream so that you can monitor the comments in real time. I’ve had some comments go missing all together and others just haven’t been displayed on Streamyard like they should. Right now, LinkedIn live is a bit temperamental when it comes to showing comments. So you’ll need to have a broadcasting app like Streamyard. You cannot livestream natively from LinkedIn like you can with Facebook. ![]() Things To Be Aware Of Before Using LinkedIn Live ![]() This only took 1 week when I applied at the end of last year but I’d imagine this can vary.
